Wedding Favors Your Guests Will Actually Use: Part One

We loved Lindsay and Ory’s mint koozies and breath mint wedding guest favors! Photo by: Tony Elena Smith Photo

Every couple wants their guests to have a great time at the wedding. It’s why they hire the best band or DJ they can afford, and make sure to select a caterer with lots of crowd-pleasing favorites. But, when it comes to planning wedding favors, many brides and grooms feel stumped about how to select meaningful gifts their guests will actually use, much less enjoy. Luckily we’ve been to a wedding or two, and so we have some great ideas about what guests really want. Here are just a few of our favorite wedding favors!

Personalized Gifts Can Be Good Choices

While not every guests will have a place for a candle with your initials on it, much less an engraved silver frame, there are actually much more affordable options that can get a lot of use long after your wedding is done.

  • Though they may have been around for decades, it’s now possible to get incredibly cute koozies with your initials, names or even a cute phrase (how about your wedding hashtag?) on them. These are affordable and practical gifts that many guests will appreciate and perhaps even use during the wedding reception. Plus they’re small enough to travel home with, and to easily store when not in use.
  • Cute glasses, travel mugs or bottle openers make great gifts as well, especially when paired with small bottles of champagne, or local craft beers.
  • Of course, we also love seeing couples think outside of the box, when it comes to ordering personalized gifts. Consider key chains, reusable shopping bags or even chapstick, if you want something both cute and practical!
