Wedding Favors Your Guests Will Actually Use: Part Two

Wedding Favors Your Guests Will Actually Use: Part Two

Edible wedding favors are a great option, particularly if they’re as cute as wedding cake decorated cookies!

You have likely been to many weddings, yourself, where you received a wedding favor that was thoughtful and perhaps even cute, but not particularly practical. Perhaps you have even recycled several of those kinds of gifts before. If you want to avoid sending guests home with something they can’t really use or enjoy, then consider these fresh takes on wedding favors, that are sure to put a smile on your friends’ faces!

Give Them Something They Can Enjoy!

We’ve said it before, but DIY gift stations are always a hit at wedding receptions, whether you’re offering up a candy bar or gourmet popcorn. This is a great way for younger kids – and adults who are kids at heart – to pass time at the reception, carefully selecting their favorites. It also doubles as a late night snack for the drive home.

Again, candy and popcorn remain popular choices for serve-yourself stations. But other popular foods, that can be adorably packaged as gifts, include miniature pies (perhaps baked into jars), cake balls, decorated cookies, jams and jellies, honey or even coffee beans! Choose a dish that goes well with your wedding theme, or simply pick your personal favorite food!

What About Going with Something They Can Grow

Another popular choice, especially for earth-conscious couples, is items guests can grow. In other words, consider small plants or seed packets.

Potted succulents, for instance, make great escort cards, which double as wedding favors. Seed packets can also be used as part of your seating chart, and then be taken home to offer a future reminder of the wedding.
