You’ve finally found the man of your dreams, and will soon say “I Do” to spending the rest of your life with him. But before your happily-ever-after can start, you have to survive/enjoy your wedding day, and that certainly won’t be possible, or nearly as special, without your best gals by your side! When it comes to choosing bridesmaids, it should be pretty easy. Think of the friends and family that have made your life complete, and invite them to share in your joy by standing beside you. And once you’ve chosen who will be in your bridal party, the fun part begins, choosing how to really honor their presence, and ongoing importance in your life. Here are just a few of our favorite ways to spoil your bridal party!
Invite Them In Style
You’ll probably put a lot of thought and time into designing the perfect wedding invitations. But sending out formal, or fun, invites to your bridesmaids can be just as special. Many stationers now offer beautifully illustrated cards asking “Will you be my bridesmaid?”
But you could also write your invite on a balloon, have it iced onto a cookie, or even create one-of-a-kind invites made from a favorite photo of the two of you.
Sending a small gift along with the invite is also a thoughtful way to let your girls know just how much you care, from a cute calendar with your wedding date circled to an updated friendship bracelet. It doesn’t have to be big to show you care.
Thank Them for Their Help
Your bridesmaids will be plenty busy helping you with planning the wedding, and more importantly, hosting your bachelorette party and bridal showers! So be prepared to thank them for both their time and friendship!
Choose a favorite bottle of wine for each bridesmaid, and complete the gift with cute initial or gold-dot glasses, opt for cute potted succulents for flower-loving friends, or even adorable makeup or other travel bags, which will be both functional, cute, and prove useful long after the wedding weekends!
Think of Them On Your Wedding Day
Yes; it’s your big day, but don’t forget to honor your bridesmaids on or just before your day! Jewelry is a traditional gift, and one they can wear to the wedding. But you could also go for cute dancing shoes, sweaters or scarves (especially great for fall weddings and receptions), or elegant clutches for stowing their lipstick and Kleenex.
