Selecting Sweet Tunes for Your Wedding: Part Two

Choosing Sweet Music for Your WeddingJust like cake testing, choosing wedding songs can be a lot of fun. Plus, it can also be a great bonding experience for you and your fiancé, and a fun diversion from more stressful aspects of wedding planning. (Yes, guestlist, we’re talking about you!) From making date nights out of checking out local wedding bands, to creating possible dance playlists for one another to listen to during your daily commutes, if the two of you have fun choosing your wedding tunes, your guests are sure to enjoy your song choices!

Band, DJ, Why Not Both?

While many people still think primarily of DJ’s when they think of weddings, we actually love when our couples mix live entertainment and mad DJ skills. From full jazz bands, to string ensembles, or even just a talented relative with an acoustic guitar and a microphone, choosing wedding music is one of those tasks that truly has no rules.

So brainstorm with your fiancé, first, and your bridesmaids, second, knowing the sky is the limit when it comes to finding (or performing) the perfect song for your walk down the aisle, your big reception entrance as husband and wife, and of course, your very first dance as Mr. and Mrs!

And nothing says you have to rely on the same entertainment for both the ceremony and reception. In fact, it can be a lot of fun to have one set to live music, and one set to a groovy mix of all your favorite recorded tunes!
