Need to Get Organized? A Paper Planner Could Help! Part Two

A paper planner is a surprisingly simple way to monitor your wedding plans, and keep yourself healthy and happy.

A paper planner might seem old-fashioned, but it can actually be a great tool for busy brides who need a bit of help keeping their wedding planning on track. To make the most of this tool, you simply need to add a few necessary documents which are good to keep on-hand, and make sure to fill your planner with a mix of wedding-related tasks and self-care. After all, you want to make it to the aisle feeling your bridal best! Scheduling in time for yourself can be crucial to that.

Keep Business Cards and Important Documents With You

While we live in an increasingly digital world, it’s still wise to keep key vendor contact information on you at all times. That way you know exactly how to reach your venue, florist, photographer, etc. should you have questions, or need to make any relatively last-minute changes.

Keep in mind many of these trusted vendors may give you personal emails or cell numbers that aren’t readily available on their websites, so it’s good to keep them with you, either on the back of business cards or in a master list.

You will also want to be able to easily access your budget, your wedding day timeline, the seating chart and other key documents, so you can make adjustments if necessary, and keep your spending and overall planning on track.

Schedule Time for Yourself!

Once you have a great planner picked out, it’s important to schedule in rewards for a job well done, and also to keep yourself from getting overly stressed during the wedding planning process. Whether that means taking a break to grab coffee with a girlfriend, a weekend getaway for you and your fiancé, or even a facial or manicure from time-to-time, making time for self-care and to nurture your relationships during this incredibly busy season can be incredibly important.

So pencil in, add a post-it or cutesy sticker to signify when it’s time for you to take some time for yourself. Then stick to this part of your plan. You’ll feel better in the long-run if you make self-care a priority.
